About 208 Books | Local Bookkeeping For Idaho Small Business

208 Books was built the same way I built my first business — out of necessity. As an Idaho Small Business Bookkeeper, I’ve lived the same struggles most owners face. I spent years as a farrier here in California and East Idaho, and nothing teaches you small-business reality faster than doing the work yourself. Missed deductions, slow payers, “good” jobs that barely covered fuel… I’ve lived the struggle.

Eventually I got to where my business was running me into the ground.  I needed a solution, so I took accounting classes, got QuickBooks certified, and cleaned up my own books first.

When I got married and started a family, the winter slowdown pushed me into EMS and firefighting. Pretty soon I was fixing my fire departments union books — years behind, missing receipts, the whole mess — and getting everything current and up to date.

That experience showed me exactly what local business owners actually need: a bookkeeper who’s been in the field, understands their market, and keeps things honest.

That’s 208 Books. Local. Fixed-price. No drama.

If your books are behind or you’re ready to hand them off, send me a message. I’d love to help you get squared away.

Anywhere really. However,  I’m based in East Idaho, work here, and focus on local businesses here—Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Rigby, Pocatello, and everywhere in between. If you’re in the 208, I’ve got you.

Everything is fixed-price, quoted upfront after a quick call. No hourly billing, no surprises. Monthly bookkeeping starts around $200, catch-up/clean-up and QuickBooks setups are one-time fixed fees. I’ll give you an exact number once I know your situation.

I prefer QuickBooks Online. It’s the best for most small businesses here. However, I’ve worked with Wave and basic spreadsheets as well.

No problem, no judgment. Catch-up work is one of my specialties. I’ll get you current and IRS-ready with a fixed price.

No—I’m a bookkeeper, not a CPA. I get your books clean and organized so your tax preparer (or you) can file easily and catch every deduction.
